GMO labeling - your organic heroes

Join us in thanking our organic heroes! We came close on election night, 47 to 53, but we came up short. Despite this tough loss, we've built a powerful movement against the world's largest pesticide and junk food companies and we're going forward. Even after spending more than $46 million dollars on deceptive and misleading ads, more than 5 million Californians voted Yes on 37 to label genetically engineered foods.

This is a remarkable accomplishment and has already permanently changed the conversation on food, agriculture and labeling GMOs here in the U.S. Please take a moment to thank those Organic Heroes who stood with us on Prop 37 to label GMOs, these are the one's who stood up for your Right to Know! and will lead the fight in the future!

Join us in thanking those Organic Heroes who stood up for your Right to Know to pass Prop 37 to label GMOs!

I will do anything to get kittens

I had a dream that me and my mother were ridding in the car my mother was behind the wheel. I have no idea where we were going, but it was something important. Suddenly we were no longer in a car, but a streetcar my mother was still behind the wheel. She was telling me about the car accident she was in, the passenger had died. In the dream I kept thinking that the passenger was my father. Then the dream got really weird. We were being chased by bad guys. There was fighting with lifesaber and some kind of weird mind control machine. I had to hide a wounded man from the bad guys that were chasing us. I also preformed a surgery to remove the bullet. At some point in the dream there was a Woody doll. The dream ended with the bad guy catching the man I was hiding, but nothing bad had happened. It turns out  he just wanted kittens.

I am not a fan of Star Wars and my mother was never in any kind of accident.

Hiding

Today I had a dream that I went to my boyfriend's, I don't have a boyfriend, house. When his aunt came to visit him I hid from her in the bathroom. All the time I was afraid that she will find me. Eventually she had to go to the bathroom. When I notices she is coming I went to hide in the shower, the shower door was not see through. When I was hiding I had realized that I had very uncomfortable high heel boots on and can barely walk, also for some weird reason there where something like crawl space between shower and bathroom. When she was leaving the bathroom I have noticed that there is a blank space in the shower through which I can see what's going on in the bathroom, but she can't see me as she leaves.

I think that I am worried that people will see that I am doing something that I am not supposed to be doing and it will get me in trouble. What are your thoughts?

Dog Exchange

Today I had a bizarre dream about my two dogs Bear and Pearl. In the dream I and my mother were walking my dogs as we usually do, when a woman came up to us and asked if she can walk our dogs while we walk her dog. For some reason we got very exited that we will have to walk one dog instead of two. When my mother asked her how long we have to walk her dog for she said for a week. That's when I started to get worried that she might not want to give me my Bear back, but my mother convinced me that she know this woman's husband, she doesn't know them in real life, and it will not be a problem getting dogs back. Then the dream had shifted to the part when we meet the woman she is walking Bear, but the second, dog is not Pearl. The woman walking Bear looks different. For some reason I had dismissed the fact that if might be a different person and the fact that the second, dog is not Pearly. I had explained it to myself that that is her second, dog and Pearl is at her home. Then we were suddenly at the steps leading to our apartment. I have knelt to pet pet the dogs chest, the way I pet Bear, but the dog didn't like it. I got upset and told the dog to go away. When I did that I have noticed that the dog has no leash or color. My mother had told me that what I am doing is wrong to that I had responded that she should walk the dog herself.

Here is my email to manager:

The toilet got clogged again please replace. The stove doesn't always turn on please replace. Some of the blinds have fallen off please replace.

Update August 24: The manager called today twice said that repairman guy is going to come to call today to make an appointment to come to fix the stove. The blinds are going to be replaced today.

Update 12:47pm: Some of the blinds have been changed today the rest will be changed tomorrow.

Update August 25: The repairman came today. He did some maintenance work and said if there where any other problems to call the manager. The broken blinds where replaced.

Clog

About a week ago my toilet got clogged. I had called the manger Neil Murphy, but he didn't pick up the phone. I have left a message telling him about a problem on his work and cell phone. Soon he called me and said that plumber  is going to be at my apartment in an hour or two. When no one has came I had called him again and once again he didn't pick up the phone. I had left him a massage and he had called me back. This time he said that plumber is going to be from 6:30 or 7:00. When no one came at 7:00 I had called the manager once again and once again he didn't pick up. This time I had to leave more that one message before the plumber did come. A shortly after that the manager called to ask if the plumber had arrived after hearing the reassuring yes he had hanged up the phone.

Today the toilet is clogged again. I had called the manager at 9:58, left him a massage. He had not called back yet. My mother had called my grandfather to help unclog the toilet. He head out right a way and he is here already. The manager has not called yet.

Update 10:46pm: The manager did call eventually. He said that the plumber is going to come tomorrow or day after tomorrow.

Indefinite detention -- we won!

Friends-
We did it! A federal court in New York just ruled indefinite detention UNCONSTITUTIONAL and issued a permanent injunction against use of that law -- it would have allowed the military to detain civilians -- even Americans -- indefinitely and without trial if they're accused of certain crimes.
Please click here to tell Obama to back off of his support of indefinite detention, and tell your senators to oppose it when it comes up for a vote this fall.
http://act.demandprogress.org/letter/ndaa_lawsuit_win/?referring_akid=a7032754.555756.zl-7yO&source=auto-taf
It's an egregious violation of the Constitution, a disgusting infringement upon our due process rights, and has already had a chilling effect on activists and journalists. That's why writer Chris Hedges and six others sued to block it.
Shockingly, the Obama administration has consistently supported indefinite detention this year -- signing it into law in the dark of night on New Year's Eve and defending it in court. If we don't do anything, they'll probably keep fighting to protect this law!
Click here to tell Obama to quit supporting indefinite detention.

Bunny Bar Squeaky Cheeky Choco Cherry Organic Granola Bar Review

Today I got the Squeaky Cheeky Choco Cherry Bar from Swaggable to try and review. I was not compensated for this review in any way. When I took my first bite my first impression was that the Bunny Bar was sweet. I did not like the texture, it was nether crunchy or soft, but kinda hard to chew. I could taste a bit of cherry, but not a hole lot which is not good in my opinion. The chocolate didn't seem to be of a very good quality, but it might be because it was semi melted due to the extreme heat we have right now in CA.

Blues

Today I had been filling blue. Had to practically force myself to take a shower. To lift up my mood I have decided to try out the new lotion and perfume that I got in the Testtube. The sad thing no one has even noticed. After the shower the time came to walk the dogs. After the walk I have checked the mail. I have gotten the letter from Transunion saying that Barclays, the bank wanted me to pay them for something that I have already payed them for, is not going to be taken of off my credit report until July 2015. By the time I have finely made a call to fined out what to do about it, it was time to walk the dogs again. Since I was still on the phone my mother had gone dog walking without me. I had caught up with them when they where half way home. When we got home mother had offered to watch one of the movies that we had taped. The first choice had fallen on The Funny Chronicles of a Dangerous Voyage, but after an opening seen we had remembered that this is the movie that we had tried to watch before, but it wasn't very good. The second choice had fallen on to The Winter Tango. It is a very interesting movie. It had made me completely forget about my blues. I would definitely recommend to watch it.

Drifted apart

I am not exactly sure at which point in my life I have lost touch with my family. It’s not that I stopped talking to them, it’s just that I stopped communicating to them about my needs. The most complicated relationship however is with Susan. We never speak at all not unless she needs something and even then it’s rare for her to tell me what she wants to my face she will do it through our mother. She only asks me for favors when she know that mother will not approve. She knows I will not say “no” to her and she uses it. Her request are always about money. She always barrows, but never gives anything back. To make our relationship even worse she criticizes everything from the programs I watch on TV to my sense of humor. This abuse has been going on for far to long. It’s time that I assert my needs, learn to say “No”, and to stand up for myself. I don’t know if it’s going to improve the relationship between me and Susan, but I do know that it will improve the way I relate to self.

Unprovoked aggression.

I have been on the computer looking for the good water filter when my mother came in to tell me that I was supposed to walk my dogs two hours ago. I didn’t like the tone she has used while talking to me, so one thing led to another and I ended up throwing dog’s leashes at her. I think that lack of sleep is making me loose my self-control which is scary to me as I am not a violent type of person. Does anyone has a method of dealing with mood swings caused by fatigue?

My nightmare trip or how I have sliped back into sugar adiction.

More then 5 years ago I had done sugar detox it has been miserable time for me with a lot of headaches and cold like symptoms. After it was all over I had been feeling great, my depression forgotten. I have been clean for a year when my grandmother’s friend had decided to hook me up with a acquaintance son. I have agreed and she gave him my phone number. He has called me and that’s how my long distance relationship has started. I thought he was kind, sweet, and smart. I thought he was a perfect man for me so after a year of communication over the phone I have aloud to talk myself into going to Germany where my Prince Charming had lived. Before booking the ticket, that I have stupidly paid for myself, we had made a verbal agreement that all the worm clothing will be provided on my arrival after all it has been winter. I live in CA and have no need for anything warmer than a jacket. By my arrival to Germany I have soon realized that they are not planning to keep their word and I have to buy everything on my own. Not only that my Guide, by then ex-prince charming, was not in much of a hurry to take me to a place where I can exchange money. So not was I only without any worm clothing, but without any money at least any that would be excepted in the stores (he had explained to me that the dollar was not excepted in most stores, he never told me where it is excepted). That’s how I spend my two miserable weeks. Why I didn’t leave? The thing is I was staying at his mother’s place. Every time I talked to someone on the phone she would be there listening so it made it kind of hard to talk to anyone. I also wasn’t sure how I can exchange the ticket without having to answer a few uncomfortable questions. By now I am sure you are wondering what does depression has to do with all of this. This is what. I have been so called and miserable that I started eating sugary foods again. At first everything was fine and I had started to believe that it will always be this way, but alas I was wrong my depression has returned. Now I have to go through all this uncomfortable proses again.

I am so worthless and cowardly. I can't even commit suicide. I don't deserve to live.

Fifth Day of Packing

In the morning after I had finished walking the dogs I had started to pack things left over from yesterday. The puppies slept so close to the door that I had to keep moving them away from the door which made everything much slower than it had to be. Luckly I didn't have that much left to pack so I was done before the movers came.
I have unplugged the computer and put it on the floor, to free the desk. The wires got all tangled up so I had to be careful not to drop any equipment especially the modem that the phone is connected through.

Fourth day of Packing

Today my grandparents have come to help with the move. I have helped securing fragile items so they would not break during the move after I was done I have stayed near the car while boxes where being loaded in. Not to be bored I have done some stretching exercise. After that I was asked to look for the movers on Craigslist.org I at first have refused, because lost time we where moving I had looked for the movers. I had found people, who where willing to help for a very good price, with whom I had made arrangement. At the least possible minuet I was told that Susan had already hired people and a car to do it. I had to call the people with whom I have made an arrangement to cancel it. It had been very embarrassing for me and I had no desire to be in the same situation again. After my mother had insured me that it will not happen this time I have started calling movers that would have the suitable price, but found no one. Susan however did so we will be moving tomorrow at 11:00 am. I still have some things that I need to be boxed, but not that much I am sure that I will have plenty of time for it tomorrow. There is just somethings that are on my desk and some things that are in the closet.
Today is a laundry day.

Third Day of Packing

Protect our families from toxic chemicals

Dear Friend,
Did you know that the EPA is required to test only a few hundred of the 85,000 different chemicals currently on the market? In fact, the federal law governing how we regulate chemicals doesn’t even require chemical companies to prove that the chemicals they make are safe before they end up in products.
This means that on a daily basis we are at risk of being exposed to dangerous, cancer-causing chemicals. These harmful chemicals may be in our workplaces, our classrooms and our homes in our clothing, furniture, cleaning products, plastics, cosmetics, children’s toys and countless other everyday products.
That’s why I’ve signed a petition urging the Senate to pass the Safe Chemicals Act, which would take meaningful steps to protect our families from harmful toxic chemicals. Will you join me?

Indefinite detention

Friends-

President Obama just signed the National Defense Authorization Act into law despite startling provisions that will allow the military to indefinitely detain American citizens. It's a travesty, defying basic principles of justice and due process in perhaps the most extreme respect our nation has ever seen.

Thankfully, several lawmakers are keeping up the fight. Senator Dianne Feinstein has introduced legislation to undo these provisions of the NDAA, in the form of the Due Process Guarantee Act. We need to urge other Senators to support it. Just click here:

http://ping.fm/6cTcJ

"The Due Process Guarantee Act of 2011 amends the Non-Detention Act of 1971 by providing that a Congressional authorization for the use of military force does not authorize the indefinite detention—without charge or trial—of U.S. citizens who are apprehended domestically."

If there's enough of a public outcry, we have a real chance of making this happen: More than 40 senators voted against the indefinite detention provisions of the NDAA -- and that was before the media and general public caught on to what was happening.

Please urge your Senators to remedy this terrible wrong. Just click here:

http://ping.fm/Iic1U

Thanks.
